As February fast approaches with a very busy January coming to an end I thought that I would take time to look back at my wedding from May last year and mention a few of the suppliers that helped make mine and Jo's wedding day so special...

Finally to my beautiful wife Jo I just want to say that of all the weddings from last year my absolute favourite was of course ours. You looked so beautiful on the wedding day as the pictures show and I am extremely lucky to be your husband. I love you and the children very much x

We got up at the crack of dawn on Saturday to catch the train to London for the blessing of Paul and Jo, together with the baptism of their daughter Isabelle Mae Rose at St Paul's Cathedral - yes that's right, the St Paul's Cathedral!! We were extremely excited - what better way to start our wedding season than at one of the most prestigious venues in the country. Only award-holders may be married and baptised in the OBE Chapel (Chapel of the Order of the British Empire) - luckily Paul has a much deserved MBE. We made full use of the early start on a very empty Millenium Bridge, which gave us some fantastic views of the cathedral, before shooting the arrivals of Paul and Jo's guests. 

After the ceremony we made our way out to the West Wing for some group photos before moving on to the Corney & Barrow Bar in Paternoster Square with views back to the cathedral. This was a very special occasion for all that attended and it was an honour to be asked to photograph it.

We met Elizabeth and Richard at the Woodshack recording studio in Wymondham for our first engagement shoot of 2012. Both are heavily in to their music and so we thought it apt to start the shoot with them doing something that they love. After playing a few melodies we took a short trip over to Wymondham Abbey, bathed in warm afternoon light it made a fantastic backdrop to get some shots of the couple. With their wedding only a couple of months away it was a great chance to chat and get to know them both better...

What a fantastic year 2011 was for us. We had the honour of photographing some amazing people at spectacular venues. Each wedding was totally unique thanks to the hard work from the couples and their families and friends. It has been a privilege to attend these weddings and capture all the special moments throughout the day. Below are a selection of just some of our favourite engagement shoot images from 2011. Our engagement shoots are a fantastic way to not only get to know a bit more about our couples before their wedding day, the story of how they met, there unique personalties but also to put them at ease in front of the camera. By the end of the shoot we want the couples to be buzzing and excited to see the results - capturing the love that they have for one another...
